In today's Round Tortola Race for the Nanny Cay Cup, Peter Corr's Alia 82, Aiyana smashed the monohull record by nearly half an hour. Setting a new record of 3 hours, 29 minutes and 44 seconds for the 37-mile run around Tortola. New Sailing Festival and Old Tortola Sloop bring fresh winds to 42nd BVI Spring Regatta

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, March 18, 2013 - New activities for the BVI Spring Regatta (BVISR) and Sailing Festival were outlined at a press conference hosted by the Event Committee on at Peg Legs Restaurant, Nanny Cay. The occasion included the culturally and historically important presentation of Intrepid, a Tortola Sloop which was donated to the Virgin Islands Maritime Museum by the BVI Spring Regatta & Sailing Festival (BVISR) in association with VP Bank.
