Telefonica Blue wieder auf der Rennstrecke

Nachdem kurz vor dem Startschuss verdächtige Geräusche an das Ohr von Skipper Bouwe Bekking gedrungen sind, hat dieser sofort beschlossen nicht zu starten und an Land zu fahren. Das Boot wurde aus dem Wasser gehieft und anschliessend einer genauen Kontrolle unterzogen, wo sich nur kleinere Kratzer und Schäden feststellen liessen. Es muss eine Untiefe gehabt haben.

VOLVO OCEAN RACE 2009, 15.2.09 (mk) Nun segeln sie wieder, die Leute auf der Telefonica Blue. Mit 19 Stunden Verspätung sind sie zur fünften Etappe nach Rio gestartet. Wir werden jetzt halt in den ersten paar Tagen Meilen verlieren, sind aber überzeugt, diese wieder aufzuholen. Besser so, als wäre etwas auf hoher See passiert.
